Gods omniscience is so evident. For those who aren't quite clear on what I mean by that . . . it means He knows all things past, present and future. We are only capable of seeing what's immediately in front of us; however, God is always orchestrating all things for His purpose. The Bible says God's ways aren't our ways so we must not lean on our own understanding. In my travels I just met what most would call a celebrity. In the realm of chefs he is definitely a celebrity. I can't indulge specifics, for obvious reasons, so I hope this carries as much punch without the specifics. We met through a mutual acquaintance, and when he asked what I was doing right now I was hesitant, because although what I do is not so strange for fellow followers of Christ, for the regular guy off the street it is an odd occupation (not to mention that this particular guy is so successful). So I said I travel the country. He wouldn't let it go at that so he asked "doing what," and after a moment of hesitation I told him "I am on a mission for Christ." I was both relieved and excited to find out not only was he a follower of Christ also, but was both encouraged by, and encouraging about my mission. He invited me to his church, which was awesome, and it turned out to be a great connection for our ministry. When you measure myself against this man, in the eyes of the world, I probably wouldn't be in the same league, however when you put us together as brothers in Christ, children of the same God, we are one and the same - sinners that need a Savior. God did this for all of us by sending His son as a sacrifice for all sin. I am glad to have met this man, not because of his success (although maybe at first this was an issue), but because he has a love for Christ, and what God did for us, and even more importantly seeks, like myself, to show Christ's love to as many as he can.
We are now in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where I meet with a church tomorrow to find out how we can help in their homeless ministry. God has opened many doors for us in Florida due to our last stop. Please be praying for success in reaching the homeless here. All for God's Glory.

A life that matters, Ron Hutchcraft writes a book on how as embasadors to Christ we must seek opprotunities to evangelize to all those we meet. Not me, I don't have it in me, I'm not gifted, what do I have to offer. We spend far to much of our time worrying about how we might look, or whom it is we may offend, all of which has been ingrained in our syche by the world around us. Ravi Zacharias brings this to light with this amazing analogy. Imagine saying to someone you loved, to be more specific your spouse or child, "I love you, but an expression of any meaning of that pertaining to such I will only make apparent to you in private, with nobody present in which to see". How would that expression propel or even serve to maintain your relationship. the relationship would soon lack meaning or any significant emotion.
The same pertains to our relationship with our God in which we are supossed to serve, love and propogate a relationship. We must not only show our love at all times to be seen by those in every social environment. We must share through communication the like feelings of love and passion to maintain and excel our relationship. Moreso, must be said about commitment to our Lord Jesus. Our love must have meaning and be articulated and proclaimed,so it manifests meaning thoughout every aspect of our life.
Back to Hutchcraft, we have Proximity equals responsibility.
everyone we come in contact with we must show our faith, then, communicate or tell them about it.
Matthew 5:16 "they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven". They may see your godly work which then opens the door to the questions that we so fervently can answer by telling them about our Savior.
We can no longer keep the Great secret. We need to find commonality with all of those around us and find the way to hand them the key to the door of thier unanswered questions.
I pray for Gods help to see the opprotunities and find the language that will resinate in the mind and souls of those who are lost. Give me strength to hear what they are hearing when I speak about you Heavenly Father. I pray that I proclaim clearly as I should. I serve you Jesus when I serve your word to others. Amen
Doug needed to talk to that chef and procalim Gods work through him no matter under what scrutiny he had a fear of being victim to. Trust God for the words and see the power of his presence. I love seeing the trust and confidence in which your mission is blessed.
I pray for that cofidence and trust as I grow in faith.
Love Dave
