God is Opening Doors
It was a somewhat busy summer, but things have slowed down a little this fall. God accomplished a lot this summer through Four Disciples Mission. We spent most of our time getting the food pantry and thrift store up and running. We were also able to show the love of Christ through many community projects. The March Against Violence in the roughest parts of the tri-cities (Pahokee, Belle Glade and South Bay) was one we will do every year. We were also able to help in the Back to School Bash where 500+ backpacks and school supplies were distrubuted free of charge. We were blessed to have been a part of the Tri-Cities Slam Dunk competition to keep kids off the street, and to use it as an instrument to bring the three rival cities together and teach them about the destruction of gangs and teen violence. I will be going into the local prisons soon to facilitate bible studies, and most recently we have been contemplating a vision for a cooking school and soup kitchen. This is one of a couple of things that the Lord has put on my mind. I also have a possible opportunity for another full time ministry, however it is not in this area so please be praying for God to present a clear direction for me and my family. In the meantime we will also be providing a wonderful service and gift idea in hopes of raising and sustaining funds we need. The success of this venture will contribute a lot toward clarifying my direction as starting up a cooking school from the ground up will require a lot of resources. This new service can be purchased through my website, so I hope you'll visit it. We will be sending out daily bible verses via text message. Anyone giving a once-a-year pledge of $69.99 or more will receive a daily message from God's Word. This is a great way to deal with everyday struggles, and to keep God in the forefront of our minds in the midst of the chaos that life can bring. I already do this for some of my family members, and they love it. Just go to my website and donate with a major credit card, PayPal, or choose one of our other payment methods and I'll send it daily for one year to the phone number of your choice. It's just in time for Christmas. It's a gift that keeps on giving all year long, all the proceeds go to Four Disciples Mission, it's tax deductible and it's easy. Please go to http://www.fourdisciplesmission.org/ to find out more. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.
