We were pretty sure - but now we know!!!

Praise God!
We were confident we were right where God wanted us, and our
Lord is so gracious in confirming to us we are exactly where He
wants us. So many doors are opening for our ministry once again.
Today we handed out 30 bags of groceries to the community. We
were there because of a series of circumstances that put us in
the presence of a couple who has the exact vision and heart for
the people of Pahokee that we do. The food pantry was blessed that we were able to supply them with some food for this cause.
Thanks again to Pinelands Community Church. As we met with
these people we were all in awe that Four Disciples Mission's vision and outreach ideas for the city of Pahokee are very much
in line with Harvest Ministry's, and they have been operating on
and off in Pahokee for 10 years. They have been praying for someone with the same vision to come alongside them and help. They have a 9,000 square foot building and would like to reach out to the community in a number of ways. Carol and I have been tossing around the idea of a food pantry, perhaps a soup kitchen, a thrift shop, a place for community events, karate classes for kids, an area for kids to sell their woodshop goods and paintings and eventually perhaps even starting a church. Barbara and Rich have the food pantry already underway and have the very same ideas along with dance and gymnastics classes and a cafe for the elderly. Barbara said she already has volunteers to teach the dance classes.
So it seems as though God has put us in each other's path to work together for His glory. This community has very little in the way of outreach. I am meeting with as many church leaders as I can on Friday to plea for help and support. I have spent the last two weeks meeting and reaching out to local church leaders. We are already working with the city and an organization called The Beacon Center to hold a community event for 400 kids, and Four Disciples Mission has the task of getting the churches involved. We are solidifying a missions team for early April, and trying to help organize a monthly march against violence. Pray for hearts and minds to open up to our ministry opportunities, and for a great church leadership turnout on Friday. We are so thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for what He is doing, and for the Holy Spirit's working in all that has been presented to us. We now pray for strength and perseverance as we work out God's plan for Pahokee. I thank the Lord that He has freed our family from the worries of everyday life so we can carry out His work. Ephesians 2:8-10: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Thank You Jesus.

Peace through Grace,
Doug & Family

So proud of you for following God's calling. All things work together for good to those who love Him. When He is your guide, you can't go wrong. It is amazing how our Lord works, and to see it so evidently in this situation. How great to find a couple with the same vision to reach out and build a greater community, both in physical and spiritual aspects. God is so faithful and so good. Praying for all of you and the hearts of all those you are contacting and the people of this community. Love you so very much!

God has sent you to help rebuild the city of Pahokee. He will send many to help you. He will send many servents to work for his glory. God will open hearts to hear his words, and remove the scales from many eyes to see His glory. The ruins will be rebuilt and the desolate land like a garden of Eden and all around will know what the Lord has done. There is so much for us as servents of Christ to do to serve Him and His Kingdom. Let us rise up among those in need and bring them the good news through our Love and witness to our King. You will be challenged, distracted, and tested but through faith and trust you will persevere. I am always praying for your mission, and for You, Carol, Julien and Bailey. It's a blessing to be a twin, such a close lifelong friend in the flesh. But it is Faith in the Lord and our brotherhood in Christ that will serve to bless us with that brotherhood for eternity. I know we are a thousand miles apart but it is mere inches that seperate us when serving our Lord Jesus Christ. I Thank God for revealing to me what has been revealed to you many years ago because I am with you in all that you do, not against, I know that your are found and not lost, together as Christians God will not ours.
Praise God, Praise the Lord for His Grace and Mercy.
Blessed are those who serve the Lord and His kingdom
